Ameenah A. Sawwan
Hi! My name is Ameenah! A born and raised Syrian with nothing but more than passion, a laptop, and a dream. There wasn’t an eject bottom to hit in Syria to leave and get to land softly in Berlin, Germany where I live right now since 2016. Basically, my adult life has started along with the Syrian Revolution in 2011 which I’m really proud that I witnessed with all the sweet and bitter life experiences that have shaped who I’m today. It has been an intense journey, and now I’ve turned to be the girl with the mind that never sleeps. I find a lot of satisfaction in choosing a goal and seeing it through until the end, and it’s how I have been learning and growing as a person. I’m passionate about a multitude of seemingly connected things: civil society, writing, research, campaigning, advocacy, theatre, storytelling, creativity, M&E, development, just to name a few. I love music, I cook, and I keep taking pictures of my delicious food! 🙂
